Meet Miguel W. Maria, P.A.

Miguel Maria was born in Colombia and moved to the United States in 2001 at the age of 20, in pursuit of a better future. He initially took a job working at a cafeteria in a Miami hotel. Noticing construction taking off in 2002 he looked for a way into the real estate industry and found work with investors who were purchasing, remodeling, and selling single family homes in the Tampa Bay area.

Miguel immediately fell in love with the business, and quickly learned from the investors who became mentors to him. They saw his potential and within a short time he was managing over 150 properties in Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Jacksonville.His responsibilities included hiring contractors, managing rehab projects, and managing rental units, many of which were leased through subsidized housing programs such as Section 8.

Buying, remodeling, and selling real estate has now become Miguel’s primary source of income. Since entering the business, Miguel has been involved in more than 200 rehab projects in markets across Florida. These projects have ranged from simple condos and townhouses to complicated $100,000+ rehabs of houses and multifamily properties.

Miguel is a top producing real estate broker, and achieved the highest sales award over four consecutive years during his time at Weichert Realtors, Best Beach in South Florida. He is also a state certified residential appraiser and by now joining Century 21 KoRes Commercial division Miguel will be able to offer a more in depth experience and knowledge for the benefit of his clients allowing them to have more options when it comes to real estate investing.

Miguel’s top skills include finding distressed properties, quickly evaluating rehab costs, accurately projecting re-sale value after rehab, and negotiation. He also excels at building the right team for each rehab project. In his free time, Miguel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and practicing CrossFit, soccer and triathlons.

Specialty for working with investors who buy, hold and re-sale properties. Tis Tax code gives you the advantage of deferring capital gains in like-kind properties transaction. Obviously certain rules apply so it is extremely important to seek the right help to take advantage of this great tool.

The e-PRO® certification program was designed to teach & train members how to effectively use real estate technology to grow their business. The technology changes at a fast pace, so it is important for the consumer to ensure they have the right agent utilizing all technology has to offer in order to get a better outcome in their real estate transaction.


A Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) has a thorough understanding of complex issues in today’s turbulent real estate industry and knowledge of foreclosure, Short Sales, Divorce as well as Relocation transactions. CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales, for homeowners facing market hardships due to market changes or personal matters.


The Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) course prepares real estate professionals to make and receive compensated referrals using the ICREA Transnational Referral System and integrate international referrals into their business plans. In a market such as south Florida where more than 30% of the transactions involve a foreign buyer or seller, it is essential for a successful real estate agent to acquire this designation and for sellers to market their properties through ICREA in order to get the maximum exposure.

Miguel achieved top sales awards for gross commissions earned and volume of real estate sold. In just his second year in the sales business Miguel became one of the top five sales associates in one of South Florida’s largest real estate firms Weichert Realtors – Best Beach making him a member of the most elite level of sale within the company Weichert, Realtors President’s Club.

Now with Century 21 Kores in less than a year he was awarded with the Masters Rubi producer and is currently on his path to CENTURION Producer Award.
